Tips Hindari Pembajak e-mail

Pernah curiga ada yang membajak e-mail kamu? Tiba-tiba ada surat terkirim walau kamu nggak merasa pernah membuatnya?

Untuk menghindari hal ini, google merilis tool baru yang memungkinkan kita mengetahui aktivitas sehari-hari menggunakan layanan Google. Tool bernama Account Activity ini bisa juga mendeteksi aktivitas mencurigakan.

Seperti dikutip dari blog resmi Google, pengguna bisa menerima report mengenai aktivitasnya menggunakan layanan Google per bulannya melalui email.

Dalam laporan setiap bulan, Account Activity akan memberikan informasi berupa seberapa banyak email yang dikirim dan diterima per bulannya, history web, ke mana saja mereka berselancar di web, browser yang digunakan dan informasi pada akun yang berhubungan dengan alamat email pengguna.

Disebutkan Google, tool ini akan memberikan banyak informasi mengenai penggunaan sebuah akun layanan Google. Lebih jauh lagi, pengguna juga bisa mengetahui jika ada orang lain yang berupaya mengakses akun mereka.

"Contohnya, jika Anda menemukan notifikasi sign-in dari negara bukan tempat tinggal Anda, atau perangkat lain, Anda bisa waspada dan segera mengganti password," tulis Andreas Turek selaku Product Manager Google.

Mereka yang ingin menggunakan layanan ini bisa mengunjungi tautan ke Account Activity dan mendaftar untuk mendapatkan report aktivitas online mereka.

Langkahnya:

1. Klik pojok kanan atas dan cari tombol "Account"
2. Saat masuk ke jendela Accounts, klik tombol "Products" (di bawah Google+).
3. Lalu cari tombol "Account Activity" dengan meng-klik "Go to Account Activity".
4. Klik "Optin" atau "OK" tanda kita mengaktifkan layanan ini.

Maka kita akan melihat laporan aktivitas gmail sehingga bisa dikontrol bila terdapat aktivitas mencurigakan.
